Following your impressive research, Sydney, which station do you consider to be the best in the world?

Well just at present it is the first one in the list: Radio-dzair from Algiers. Like some English lady deterring burglars with her popular songs I turn it on as I am about to sleep and usually leave it quietly on over-night. Having had absolutely no previous exposure to Arabic music apart from the bazaars of Aden I hope to learn more about the instrumentation, the scales, and so on. But being asleep when it is on I have been making very little progress and cannot as yet distinguish between its "pops" and "classics", even. Perhaps something will sink in sub-consciously can any member tell us?

I would give BBC Radio 3 six stars, Sydney!
