Lady Augusta Keppel was the second daughter of the sixth Earl of Albemarle (the great-great-great-grandfather of Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall). The year of Lady Augusta's birth is uncertain, but in 1873 she married Ernest Noel (a J.P. and Deputy Lieutenant of Sussex, who expired in 1931 aged ninety-nine), and became Lady Augusta Noel. Her seven known novels are:1) Effie's Friends; or, Chronicles of the woods and shore, etc. (1865)AN012) The Story of Wandering Willie (1870)AN023) The Life and Times of Conrad the Squirrel (1872, 118pp) - at the British Library but not down-loadable 4) Owen Gwynne's Great Work (1875, 2 vols)AN045) From Generation to Generation (1879, 2 vols)AN056) Hithersea Mere (1887)AN067) The Wise Man of Sterncross (1901, 368pp) - at the British Library but not down-loadable Our intention is to include, where possible, djvu versions of the first editions. Wherever such is unavailable, which is often, the closest available alternative is provided. A suitable djvu reader is Sumatra, which may be down-loaded from sumatrapdfreader.org/ Linux users might turn to Evince, from sumatrapdfreader.org/ There are several others; look at sourceforge.net/projects/djvu/files/
