Mrs. Mona Caird was a Scotch woman, born on the Isle of Wight in 1858. Here are six of her fascinating novels; a further two cannot for the moment be found - which is particularly regrettable for the case of the Great Wave (1931). Our intention is to include, where possible, djvu versions of the first editions. Wherever such is unavailable the closest available alternative is provided. A suitable djvu reader may be down-loaded here: www.cuminas.jp/en/downloads/download/?pid=101) Whom Nature Leadeth (1883, three volumes) MOC0102) One That Wins: the story of a holiday in Italy (1887, two volumes) - introuvable 03) The Wing of Azrael (1889, three volumes) MOC0304) A Romance of the Moors (1891) MOC04 05) The Daughters of Danaus (1894) MOC0506) The Pathway of the Gods (1898) MOC0607) The Stones of Sacrifice (1915) MOC0708) The Great Wave (1931, 515pp - "exalted and visionary, a full-blown expression of the mysticism latent in all Caird's writing" comments Mr. Sutherland) - at the British Library and two others, but obtainable only in person.
