"Iota" was the pen-name of Kathleen Mannington Caffyn, born in Tipperary around 1855. She wrote seventeen novels, fifteen of which we can present here. Smoke in the Flame (1906) is at the British Library, and could possibly be copied upon presentation to them of a largish quantity of English "money"; and Two Ways of Love (1913) is at the Sydney branch of the South Wales state library - we may be able to photograph it before long. Neither is available from Abebooks. Our intention is to include, where possible, djvu versions of the first editions. Wherever such is unavailable the closest available alternative is provided. A suitable djvu reader may be down-loaded here: www.cuminas.jp/en/downloads/download/?pid=101) A Yellow Aster (1894, three volumes) KC0102) Children of Circumstance (1894) KC0203) A Comedy in Spasms (1895) KC0304) A Quaker Grandmother (1896) KC0405) Poor Max (1898) KC0506) Anne Mauleverer (1899, two volumes) KC0607) The Minx (1900) KC0708) The Happenings of Jill (1901) KC0809) He for God Only (1903) KC0910) Patricia - a mother (1905) KC1011) The Magic of May (1906) KC1112) Smoke in the Flame (1906) It IS at the British Library; 346pp 13) "Whoso Breaketh an Hedge" (1909) KC1314) Dorinda and her Daughter (1910) KC1415) The Fire-Seeker (1911) KC1516) Two Ways of Love (1913) According to Trove, it is at the NSW State Library. 364pp 17) Mary Mirrilies (1916) KC17Here is Mr. Sutherland on her; what can he mean by "soft-centred" we wonder?
