The capital of the Ukrainian nation today witnessed yet another quasi-military torchlight parade in praise of Ukraine's WW2 leader Stepan Bandera - who proudly led Ukraine into the alliance with the Third Reich [...].
Regrettably pro-Nazi marches of this kind - tacitly endorsed by the OECD and EU, who do nothing to oppose them or speak out against them - are now the 'norm' in latter-day Ukraine. They are also to be seen now in Latvia, where former serving SS officers proudly march with Nazi-emblem Wolfsangel flags (banned, ehem, throughout the EU, of which Latvia is a member) in memory of their glory days in the Wehrmacht.
Not a word of any of this is mentioned on the Beeb, of course. Nor indeed in any of the mainstream neoliberal press.
The footage above was recorded on a mobile phone, by Ukrainians loyal to the Donbas independence movement (thence the relevance to "Nations and their abolition") Yet the whole bandwagon of international press was in Kiev the same day - to cover the visit by renowned neocon John McCain. McCain gave another his attempts at a firebrand speech. Sad to see this amnesiac wandering the globe.
