It has been brought to my attention that the frightful female who had been acting illegitimately as an "administrator" there has not logged in since early July! Obviously she is either dead or finds games with words of two syllables too much to master.
And her mate, the fat and untidy clown from Brighton university, has similarly not logged in for over a year. He too could well be dead.
That leaves only the last one of that crowd still actively participating: the uncouth Welsh ruffian - of course we do not refer to you kc! His most recent contribution came last week when he confessed to us how much he adores "Shockercowitch".
So the once fine forum is now essentially drifting rudderless. It is ours for the taking and we sense that the time has at last come to ACT! What do you say kc? Shall we set up a plan of action? There are many thrills ahead are not there there. Of course I have already quietly established several memberships, but until now have never seen the point of using them to do anything.
Now, though, it might be possible to begin a reform by posting "things which cannot be removed without bringing great shame down upon the remover", such as a collection of the greatest French operas or a pedestrian's guide to Somerset House.
"What do you say kc? Shall we set up a plan of action?"
To be honest, I have nothing but affection for everyone involved! I suspect that ahinton still posts there, so I should be grateful if he could pass on my special love to the entire online community through appropriate social media.
As for Somerset House, last night was a 'tour de force', and I have just been asked to do it all over again. To be honest, I am not sure that I can! I did once invite everyone from R3OK for dinner there, although I don't actually know everyone who came. The entire venue was packed, so if you could not make it in person, after Mae West, why not come up sometime and see me?

Why concern yourself with another forum in which I believe you are not directly involved when you have your own to which to give attention? As to the alleged "unpleasantnesses from R3OK", you post is more suggestive of a desire to copy and/or transfer them to this forum rather than representative of any attempt at "erasure".
My only other response to this precedes the above paragraph and is, I believe, the only appropriate one.

Retaining a splenetic illiterate fishwife with no clue or interest in music as Moderator was clearly an untenable situation. Good riddance to her! May she never resurface. It is hardly surprising that she eventually disappeared - her unhinged posts, and flailing campaigns of inappropriate revenge on those who displeased her, presaged her final fall from power.
My personal engagement with the other two members specified as 'unpleasantnesses' has been somewhat different. This is not to say that Mr Grew has not found them unpleasant, and they may well indeed have been unpleasant to him! I can only mention my own experience. The Welsh composer is a feckless individual, who cheered from the sidelines as the Bearded Bicyclist, the Fishwife, and Oliver's Army - the Gang Of Three - went about their back-stabbing purges of those who failed to conform to their neoliberal groupthink. However, unlike the Fishwife Queen, he is clearly an assiduous musician and can be capable of astute comment on some musical matters. It is unfortunate that he is so easily led by others - the fickle appeal for approval to which so many creative personalities succumb.
The other composing gentlemen once took us out for a very nice lunch in Brighton, when were visiting Glyndebourne (professionally, rather than socially). He struck me as a sincere and well-meaning individual, with a deep love of music. However, as with the above-mentioned composer, the malign influence of the Beardy Bicyclist and the Capon Clarinettist soon persuaded him to drop all contact with us - even though we had been his grateful guests, and had even got as far as expressing interest in performing his music in Moscow. Such, alas, is the power of groupthink.
But other unfortunate personalities and pernicious practices persist at R3OK, which render it unfit for purpose. The American clown (a chum of the Welsh songsmith) - who spent a whole afternoon on the internet searching for remarks by me about Brahms, in the hope of building up a case against me. The Look-At-Me clarinettist, who has apparently performed Eight Songs For A Mad King 170 times this year. But they love him so much, that they forgive all of the performances in Israel that would so anger them in other performers. And... the one I may not name, since I have been forced to effect a legal sanction against his unhinged libellous ramblings against me, on R3OK and many other sites. Beardy himself, like every good neoconservative, has fled the nest to foment mayhem elsewhere.
In short, they are a Regiment of Deplorables, and I see no value in trying to attract any of them here. Their bestial behaviour will only disrupt discussion.
