Method 2 (their ogg stream):

Method 3 (their flac stream):

-ooOoo-
Category: art-music
Programme schedule: included on the player page, OR go to www.rozhlas.cz/d-dur/program
Here are a few useful translations:
předehra = overture
housle = violin
smyčcový = string (as in string orchestra, string quartet, etc.)
lesní roh = French horn
flétna = flute
komorní orchestr = chamber orchestra
komorní hudba = chamber music
trubka = trumpet
pozoun = trombone (i.e. German Posaune)
dechové nástroje = wind instruments
bicí nástroj = percussion instrument
hrají = performed by
řídí = conducted by
zpívat = sing
a = and
Location: central Europe.
Language: Czech
Local time: GMT + 1 (or GMT + 2 in summer)
Audience: about 11 million
Lasting interest: 6 stars - this in my view has long been the best station of all!
Sound quality
Method 2: sample rate 48,000 Hertz, bit rate 224 kb/sec
Method 3: FLAC sample rate 48000 Hertz, 16 bits per sample
How to record it: With these high-quality ogg files in method 2 it is best not to attempt conversions, but simply to press the red "record" button.
I have now tested the even higher-quality flac files in method 3 for several hours, and they run perfectly when opened in VLC. But I am not yet confident about recording them: Ivan Kurz's third symphony, Jiří Teml's cello concerto, Zdeněk Šesták's third symphony and more all simply disappeared last night when I overconfidently pressed the red button with a flac stream. In other words, it is best for now to use a method 2 stream when recording.
Listen later: II believe it is possible, but I have not yet worked out how to do it.
