Anatoly Lyadoff was born in 1855 and expired in 1914. This rarely-heard orchestral work, "Iz Apokalipsisa" ("From the Apocalypse" using here Grove's orthography), was completed in 1912 and first given in 1913.
The present performance is conducted by a Finnish lady, with just a few simpers. It lasts twelve minutes, and ends in a quite unusual way.
