Although this science-fiction film, bearing as title a curious foreign colloquialism, was made by an Italian, it depicts for us now many delightful aspects of London in the nineteen-sixties - how to use the tele-phone, for example - which may otherwise risk forgetting. Although this science-fiction film, bearing as title a curious foreign colloquialism, was made by an Italian, it depicts for us now many delightful aspects of London in the nineteen-sixties - how to use the tele-phone, for example - which may otherwise risk forgetting I think that most people can "remember" how to use the telephone, even if almost all would never hyphenate one. My initial thought when seeing the thread title was that it might be about the young Boulez and opera houses - and the the "No! No! No!" caption suggested Mrgaret Thatcher - but clearly both are well wide of the mark. I cannot say that I particularly enjoyed London in the 1960s, though it had its compensations...
