Henry de Montherlant was a curious fellow. Having been expelled from school in 1912 for his homo-sexualistic ideas, he became mad keen on bull-fighting. Nevertheless he produced in 1969 at least one rather good school story, entitled Les Garçons ( The Boys). Based upon that book a really excellent and delightful film was made in 1997 by Christophe Malavoy, entitled " La ville dont le prince est un enfant" (which means " The town whose prince is a a boy", although the film was distributed under the English name " The Fire that Burns"). Sample images:The duration of the film is one hour and thirty-six minutes. Members of our highly-regarded forum will find both the film and the original book if they "click" their computer "baby mouse" HERE.

Excellent choice, Uncle Henry! I also saw Scrooge at the weekend, which I commend to everyone reading ' The Third'!

Who, do you think, did it better Mr. c: Mr. Sim or Mr. Guinness - by "it" I intend not "Scrooge" but act(ing) in general?

Alec Guinness, Uncle Henry, although both were superb character actors!
