Being hardly any longer happy with the T.L.S., because over half of its content is now devoted to and contributed by the transatlantics, and having received an exorbitant demand for renewal of the subscription, I have decided to subscribe to the London Review of Books instead. These days upon opening the T.L.S. I have the impression of having somehow strayed into the servants' hall.

I don't know to whom you refer by "the transatlantics"; is the term intended to cover everyone from northern Canada to southern Chile? And do you believe that there is disproportionately scant mention of Africans, Asians, &c.? That said, LRB is certainly worthy of the subscription, in my view.
