Some lovely things, good idea sometimes, to throw away the schedule and just tune in at random. The people who run radio 3 produce an automatic filter, for quality, for you...lovely thing, delegation

Of course, the problem is that different filters suit different people. So, for example, you and I, Jason, might be quite happy just to tune into BBC Radio 3, casually, whilst french frank and the legendary Friends of Radio 3 (FoR3) are likely to be far more demanding in terms of what they are prepared to listen to.
I rather like a bit of amusing chat on the radio, for example, 'In Tune' right now, but what I find amusing, many others are likely to find irritating. I don't actually think that there is any way out of this situation. As Immanuel Kant exclaimed, you cannot make one straight thing out of the crooked timber of humanity.
I suppose that if we are dissatisfied, we just have to come up with better filters, Sydney?

I like to mix it up with a cd/book, I think french frank and co are just never happy, if they ran radio 3 then others would complain, if you go too intellectual you end up with a 'non viable' number of listeners ?

Well, I suppose that Sydney has effectively set up his own digital radio station, Jason, ' The Third'! If french frank, Eusebius and the legendary Friends of Radio 3 (FoR3) are so dissatisfied with BBC Radio 3, go and do likewise!
