What would not be such a good idea, however, Jason, would be to set up a Harold's Way Meetup as an extension to the Thames Path Meetup!
Of course, Harold's defeat at the Battle of Hastings (1066) was a pivotal moment in British history. I suppose that it would be interesting to speculate how England might have developed had it remained Anglo-Saxon rather than Norman.
I know parts of the route, Jason, particularly around the Thames Estuary, Sissinghurst and Bodiam, but I have never really connected them up.
