Picture Postcard twenty-threeOn the back: "Klakksvík. Biggest village on the Northern Islands, Faroe Islands." The double k does not appear to be the modern Faroese spelling - perhaps it is Icelandic or Norwegian; this card was "printed in Norway". The "village" is now called a "town", and there is a fantastic photo-graph of it here, when enlarged: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Klaksv%C3%ADkWhat we wonder is that black shape in the foreground?
