It's a Danish idea is it not - little lady policemen without bâtons or bastums I mean. But why they are entertainment these days beats me.
Yes though, by way of a VPN the latter-day Corporation may be picked up very nicely.

Yes though, by way of a VPN the latter-day Corporation may be picked up very nicely. Is it? I have no idea, never having previously heard of it. Who in any case claims them to be "entertainment" and what form/s might such "entertainment" take? And what has any of this to do with a "latter-day Corporation"? - and which Corporation is that? BBC? Lastly, what has any of the above to do with a missing (forum?) member? and "as response" to what is it?

I guess so. I note that it's all from at least 3½ years ago, so perhaps it was somewhat puzzling for said response and reference to appear out of the blue now - and from a forum guest at that. I still don't get all the other references, but that's of no great consequence, perhaps. Is the "missing member" Jason Palmer?

Sorry I seem to have given you the wrong link. It should refer to a post made not three years ago but 20 hours ago, by member kleines c (Librarian).
Therein one finds the expression "dis-membered" and may read all about "Roz" and "Kate" the tiny policemen without bâtons, and the B.B.C. answer.

I happen to know Jason Palmer, and he is a bit of a red herring here, ahinton. The missing member used to go by the name of 'Sydney Grew', but he uses numerous other aliases. It would be wrong of me to publish his personal details online without his permission.

It would be wrong of me to publish his personal details online without his permission. The usage of multiple aliases is not entirely uncommon in fora such as this one. The presentational characteristics of certain posts can sometimes seem to give away the true identities of the posters (no names and no second person singular or plural mentioned)...
