... I find that I have to be very careful in my use of words which could be regarded as 'racist' or 'sexist', in particular, as I am not always sensitive to what may cause offence. A girl ... I wouldn't worry, kc. That's just a degenerate trans-Atlantic girls' game. It is up to them to notice you not up to you to notice them. It is you who are in charge. Hold firm to British upper and middle-class tradition and you will come through come what may. "Degenerate transatlantic"? What on earth is that supposed to mean? Of what might you suppose kleines c to be "in charge"? What is "British upper and middle-class tradition", who are the people who adhere thereto and what might be its relevance here? Lastly, is member kleines c "British" in any case?

I think that Sydney is anti-American, possibly even anti-Australian! For the record, kleines c is in charge of himself, classless and British! In this thread, I ought to add that I am white, rather than black, but perhaps we ought to be colour blind, ahinton?

In this particular context, no, not colour blind - just colour tolerant, in the sense of recognising differences but not pointing admonitory fingers at them. If Sydney is indeed anti-American, he might do well instead to deal with the fact that the word "recognising" above shows as a mis-spell because the forum set-up favours American spelling in which the "s" should be a "z".
