In the usual way it will open a playing bar. If you want you can copy the audio from there and enter it into the VLC player instead.
It gives Sample Rate 48000, Bit Rate 320 kb/s - which is the best I've yet encountered.
Method 3 (if you experience dropouts with method 2):

Start the VLC player and enter that link under Media / Open Network Stream.
