Bartók Rádió (Sztravinszkij and Csajkovszkij) [Buda-Pest]
Method 1: www.mediaklikk.hu/bartok-radio-elo
OR
Method 2: mr-stream.mediaconnect.hu/4741/mr3.mp3
-ooOoo-
Category: high culture and art-music
Programme schedule: hangtar.radio.hu/bartok
Click on "Részletes műsor" to expand the list, and to change the day click on "Naptár" to the right.
Among other things they have at 10 pm daily an interesting programme called "ars nova".
Location: central Europe, towards the east, and land-locked
Language: Hungarian
Local time: GMT + 1 (or GMT + 2 in summer)
Audience: about 10 million
Lasting interest: 5 stars
Sound quality: sample rate 44100 Hertz, bit rate 96 kb/s
How to record it: using method 2, just press the red button
Listen later: Click on "Naptár" to go to a different day; you can go back a maximum of four weeks. Then scroll down in the schedule to find the programme you'd like to hear. In order to play it, you don't click on the programme name; instead you click on the start time of the programme, which is in the left-hand column. After you click on the start time, a red arrow will appear; and if you click on that red arrow, the programme will start playing.
You can copy the stream playing to the VLC player. And then you can record it, using the red button in the usual way. The sound quality of these "Listen Later" files will be "Sample rate 44,100 Hertz, bit rate 128 kb/s", thus better quality than the live streams.
There are two ways to copy the address of the Listen Again stream playing: I use IDM to get its address quickly and easily, but it is also possible simply to right click on the page and do "View Page Info". Then click on "Media" and you will see a file of type audio (an .mp3 stream). You can copy its address and start it in the VLC player. (It's worth persevering with this, since these Listen Agains have a lot of good items.)
