hg wells and 'the time machine'

Have you read 'the time machine', I was amazed at how short the book is, and yet so good.
Tis a pity so many kids watch dr who but do not read the inspiration for it, but then hg wells had dangerous ideas.
Oddly enough, hg wells was in the fabian society with george bernard shaw but left, as wanted the fabians to expand and the fabians did not, thus leaving a gap open for the later 'labour party'.
Proof that hg wells was right, and they wrong, as is often the case with hg wells.
