I have to admit, the best theatre experience I ever had was standing at the globe, much better than sitting there.

.. ruskin was inspired to visit venice by Lord Byron, who also inspired Turner to visit Venice, Ruskin saved venice with his writings protesting at her decay so...in a way... byron saved venice I enjoyed walks in venice with www.amazon.co.uk/Ruskins-Venice-Revisited-John-Ruskin/dp/0853318956and discovered a guide book, which I enjoyed, of Byronic walks www.ibs.it/code/9788888548944/dowling-gregory/venice-and-the.htmlWondering along, one evening, I chanced upon a lovely bookshop and they had the book about byron's walks www.slowtrav.com/blog/mariai/2009/03/libreria_acqua_alta_the_most_b.htmlahhh, to wander, per chance, to find, a book !

I should perhaps clarify that I am not the merchant of Venice, Jason, although I am, in a profound sense, the merchant of London. As for Shakespeare's Globe, I have visited the venue on many occasions, and curiously enough, I prefer the Swan to the Globe: Swan at the GlobeSwanI have, however, visited Venice as a tourist, on many occasions, and commend ' The Venice Biennale' to everyone reading ' The Third'! La BiennaleAs for books, here is the book to read: Wikipedia - The Stones of Venice (book)

You know, things do not happen by accident, a deeper sense of meaning exists, I had a brainwave on the train back from Kent today, perhaps we can work together on something, where I funnel in clients for you perhaps or sometimg, we do seem on the same wavelength on some things.
Which I find very odd, considering our different backgrounds.
Tell me, are you familiar with the works of Carl Jung ?

Yes, I am familiar with the works of Carl Jung, Jason. Wikipedia - Carl JungOn balance, I prefer Carl Jung to Sigmund Freud! As for clients, to be honest, I cannot cope with all our clients as it is, but what sort of clients are you looking for, Jason? The best bet, in my experience, is to invite everyone to the World Routes Prom next week. The Third - Calendar - Prom 54: World Routes Prom (21:00) - Thursday 22 August 2013Join us all, Jason!

It was a very good prom too, Jason! Congratulations to all! BBC - Prom 44: Stravinsky, Penderecki, Debussy & RavelAs it happens, I have been asked to deliver a series of three lectures, although I am still working on the text, and indeed, the interactive elements and experiments. If anyone reading ' The Third' would like to take part, just let me know! Thank you. I notice that Sydney has voted for the Arts in the concurrent poll, which is, to be honest, my weaker side, at least in terms of qualifications and background, so I shall also include a tutorial on the use of the Arts. I may need help!

Steve Jobs could not understand why every university did not buy a Next Computer for their students, a few did, but, the majority believed they cost too much aka 'we are a business' so I suppose a niche will arise for videod lectures, as one exists for people who read textbooks without going to university etc.
opportunities for self learning have never been so good, but time is still limited... choices are key !

Good morning to you all! To all those who survived the night, what a night it turned out to be! Congratulations to all! ' The London Times' leads today with some editorial comment on the graduates. Universities are a British success story; so successful that it is possible to take their global eminence for granted. When ' Times Higher Education' last published its world university rankings, the University of Oxford came second, the University of Cambridge came seventh and Imperial College London came eighth. All the rest of the top ten were in the United States of America (USA). Indeed, all the rest of the top 20 were in the US, save for the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich. So if you want a good education, go to the Ivy League. ' The Times' thunders that The emergence of an Ivy League that threatens the Oxbridge hegemony should be celebrated. Excellence need not be exclusive! Times Higher Education - Universities - World RankingSteve Jobs may not have understood why why every university did not buy a Next Computer for their students, but maybe the next computer is not the best, Jason. The problem with kleines c's investing in the latest computer and technology is that in ten years' time, my investment will inevitably be outdated, as better and more powerful forms of technology are developed. What I tend to do, therefore, is to lag behind the latest hardware and software, because it is expensive and ephemeral, Jason. Serious-minded Paul Rudd and irresponsible Emile Hirsch may have a tenuous family connection but they couldn’t be more different, meaning their summer together painting road-markings in the middle of nowhere threatens to be a long one. How about a gentle but richly resonant treat at Somerset House tonight, graced by sublime landscape photography and two very memorable characters? Film4 Summer Screen at Somerset House - UK Premiere: Prince Avalanche (15)Due to unprecedented demand from around the world, everyone reading ' The Third' is cordially invited behind the screen promptly at 18:30 (BST) tonight, Wednesday 21 August 2013. If you love cinema and want to hear more about the films and filmmakers showcased at Film4 Summer Screen, take a trip inside Somerset House for ' Behind the Screen' - a series of exclusive and entertaining on-stage interviews and talks. Taking place before the evening’s main screening, these intimate events offer you a chance to enjoy in-depth chats with some of America’s most talented young screenwriters and directors, see some remarkable new short films and learn about a spooky, little-known part of movie history. Doors open at 18.30 local time for a complimentary glass of Bordeaux Wine in the Behind the Screen bar, accessed from the River Terrace entrance via Waterloo Bridge. Talks start at 19.00 and last approximately one hour. Behind the Screen tickets give access to Behind the Screen events only. Tickets for film screenings must be purchased separately. In conjunction with a purchased ticket to Film4 Summer Screen, your Behind the Screen ticket gives access to a reserved space in the courtyard for the main film. Close-up with the brilliant young director David Gordon Green, who expanded from an indie background into the mainstream with comedies such as ' Pineapple Express', starring Seth Rogen and James Franco. Join us to hear more about his unique take on filmmaking, and how he’s managed to combine broad humour with cinematic poetry. Somerset House - Behind the Screen - David Gordon Green in Conversation
